Hello!

Thanks for stopping by! My name is Emily Nuchols. I'm a writer, artist and the founder of Under Solen Media, a communications firm with a cause.

New connections light me up and nothing gets me going more than the sparks of creativity that fly in brainstorming sessions. I specialize in making those big ideas happen, or as my friend Mark says, "Emily's talent for taking a wild idea, shaping it into a strategy, and then executing that strategy, is the stuff of legend." Since launching Under Solen in 2009,  I've had the great fortune to work with some incredible teams at NRS, OARS, American Rivers, Patagonia, Earthjustice, Osprey Packs and The Pew Charitable Trusts, to name a few. I have also been known to throw one hell of a party and I wholeheartedly believe that we can save the world—one party at a time. In fact, that's next up: I'm working on a project that builds the case for celebration, inspired by and featuring some of the kick-ass changemakers I've met along the way. I live in Portland, Oregon with my two dogs, Woody and Tammy, and a cat named Rihanna who believes she's a dog.​ And yes, Woody and Tammy are nailing their simultaneous photo bomb below.
